Within the scope of the EU-funded project entitled “Dialogue for Suspended Lives: CSO Dialogue for Asylum Seekers and Refugees”, SGDD-ASAM has organized a series of meetings in Karabük, Gümüşhane, Giresun, Trabzon and Samsun to establish or strengthen the network between local authorities and NGOs in order to mobilise local ressources to help refugees and asylum seekers. The other objectives of this project were to raise awareness in these cities by creating a local coordination mechanism; to create an NGO network to provide resources for advocacy; to prepare guides for above-mentioned cities for CSOs, asylum-seekers and refugees in order to give information about the regulations in Turkey and practical information about the social and economic life in these cities.
